WHAT DOES THIS POLICY COVER?
WHAT IS PERSONAL DATA?
Personal data is defined by the General Data Protection Regulation (EU Regulation 2016/679) (the "GDPR") as 'any information relating to an identifiable person who can be directly or indirectly identified in particular by reference to an identifier'.
Personal data is, in simpler terms, any information about you that enables you to be identified. Personal data covers obvious information such as your name and contact details, but it also covers less obvious information such as identification numbers, electronic location data, and other online identifiers.
You can visit this Site without telling us who you are or revealing any information about yourself, including your email address. In this case, our Web server may collect the name, address, the IP address and domain you used to access this Site, the type and version of browser and operating system you are using, and the web site you came from and visit next. This information is used by us and our business partners to measure the number of visits, average time spent, page views, and other statistics about visitors to this Site in general. We may also use this data to monitor site performance for systems administration purposes, to make this Site easier and more convenient to use and to report information in aggregate form to our advisers (e.g. how many visitors log in to this Site).
We may also use the IP address information we capture to determine your location. This helps us work out whether you are visiting the site from within the UK, EU or the rest of the world, and means we can show you content that's specific to your location and ask the right questions about your eligibility to work in the UK or EU should you wish to apply for a job on fieldsalesjobs.com.
WHAT ARE MY RIGHTS?
Under the GDPR, you have the following rights, which we will always work to uphold:
- The right to access the personal data we hold about you.
- The right to have your personal data rectified if any of your personal data held by us is inaccurate or incomplete.
- The right to be forgotten, i.e. the right to ask us to delete or otherwise dispose of any of your personal data that we have.
- The right to restrict (i.e. prevent) the processing of your personal data.
- The right to object to us using your personal data for a particular purpose or purposes.
- The right to data portability. This means that, if you have provided personal data to us directly, we are using it with your consent or for the performance of a contract, and that data is processed using automated means, you can ask us for a copy of that personal data to re-use with another service or business in many cases.
- Rights relating to automated decision-making and profiling.
For more information about our use of your personal data or exercising your rights as outlined above, please contact us. Further information about your rights can also be obtained from the Information Commissioner's Office or your local Citizens Advice Bureau. If you have any cause for complaint about our use of your personal data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office.
Contact and other details you supply as part of the registration process are stored by us and used to provide you with the information you have requested. This information is not made available to third-parties.
When you apply for a job via fieldsalesjobs.com you will usually be required to complete an application form on our site and we will then make the information you provide available to the third-party recruiter who posted the job advert. Please note that although we require recruiters who use our services to agree to Terms requiring them to only use information made available to them solely for recruitment-related purposes, we cannot directly control their actions.
PROFILE AND CV INFORMATION
When you complete your profile it can be made available for searching, viewing over the Internet and downloading by any direct recruiter, employment consultant or other person or organisation who requests CVs matching your profile to be sent to them. FieldStar does not verify the identity or the nature of the business of such organisations. Some of our customers may be located in countries outside the European Economic Area.
IMPORTANT: Your current employer may be a customer of FieldStar, or a client of one of our customers. FieldStar cannot restrict the customers who access profiles on our database and cannot be held responsible for any eventuality.
If you wish to remain anonymous do not complete your profile (profile completion is recommended but it is optional and is not required in order to apply for jobs posted on fieldsalesjobs.com). If you do complete your profile you can request for your information to be deleted at any time by logging in to your account and completing the account cancellation form.
When you apply online we store some information about you in your 'My Account' area, but it is protected by your password and may only be accessed by you. It does not form part of our candidate profile database and cannot be searched or accessed by FieldStar customers.
If you choose to create a profile and upload a CV to our database, we rely on you to ensure that your details are kept up to date. You should update your CV at least every six months, particularly if your contact details have changed.
Please note that FieldStar reserves the right to remove profiles or CVs from our database which includes any content that we consider to be illegal or offensive.

If you contact us we may keep a record of that correspondence. We use the information provided only so that we may continue to communicate with you. We do not knowingly solicit information from children and we do not knowingly market our services to children.

KEEPING YOUR INFORMATION SECURE AND PROTECTED
Where consider it appropriate, we use encryption and/or authentication tools among other methods to protect certain web-based personal information. E-mails you send us are not necessarily secure when they are transmitted to us. If your communication is sensitive or includes confidential information you may want to provide it by post or via the telephone instead.
SUBJECT ACCESS REQUESTS
If you want to know what personal data we have about you, you can ask us for details of that personal data and for a copy of it (where any such personal data is held). This is known as a "subject access request".
All subject access requests should be made in writing and sent to email@example.com. There is not normally any charge for a subject access request. If your request is 'manifestly unfounded or excessive' (for example, if you make repetitive requests) a fee may be charged to cover Our administrative costs in responding.
We will respond to your subject access request within one month of receiving it. Normally, we aim to provide a complete response, including a copy of your personal data within that time. In some cases, however, particularly if your request is more complex, more time may be required up to a maximum of three months from the date we receive your request. You will be kept fully informed of our progress.
